Wāhine Māori Community Kōrero

Te Wāhi Wāhine o Tāmaki Makaurau is proud to present regular insightful and energising public forums – kōrero and conversations that bring people together. We highlight incredible thought leadership from wāhine and women throughout Tāmaki Makaurau and our expert speakers explore issues important to women’s lives..

We focus on shining a torch on topics that don’t receive much attention.

Our usual practice for forums is to make them as accessible as possible, by providing NZSL interpreters, welcoming all genders and live-streaming the kōrero for those who can’t enjoy the time with us in person.

Help us platform more wāhine Māori thought leaders in 2025

In this time of deliberate racist disinformation and other attempts to divide us, it’s more important than ever that Māori and tauiwi communities can come together to hear from wāhine Māori thought leaders. We appreciate any koha you are able to make, whether it’s a one-off or a regular contribution.
