Feminists are Funny 2026

Our most iconic night of the year is back…

Join us for an evening of comedy, community, and a touch of magic as we raise vital funds for Auckland Women’s Centre.

The brilliant Michèle A’Court (ONZM) returns as host, bringing together a wickedly funny lineup of comedians guaranteed to keep you laughing (or cackling!) all night long. Start planning your table, gather your friends (aka your coven), and join us at The Classic Comedy Club for our biggest fundraiser of the year.

This year’s dress up theme is “Witch, please!” — a playful acknowledgement to the history of women and marginalised communities being judged or silenced for who they are, and a celebration of the power, resilience, and collective energy that continues to drive the feminist movement forward. Channel it your own way — we can’t wait to see what you conjure up.

🖤 Dress-up encouraged, with prizes on the night

🖤 A silent auction featuring generously donated items from across Tāmaki Makaurau

🖤 Capture the moment in the Pixel Photo Booth – get there early to get your group shots!

🖤 Ticket price includes delicious nibbles thanks to Ripe Deli!

We can’t wait to see you there for a night of laughter, connection, and mischief!

Gather your coven: our tickets are sold by the table. This year, we’re offering prices on a sliding scale, that end up costing between $85 and $110 per member. You are invited to choose a price that suits you, between the following:

Table for 2: From $170
Table for 4: From $340
Table for 6: From $510
Table for 10: From $850

Meet your host

Michèle A'Court

The wonderful, fabulous Michèle A’Court (ONZM) is a stand-up comedian, writer, actor and event MC / kaiwhakataki. We remain incredibly stoked, chuffed and otherwise excited that she is an incredible friend to the Women’s Centre – and most importantly, she’s HILARIOUS (and knows how to pick an exceptional line-up!)

Silent Auction

A big thank you to all of the local businesses that have donated incredible offerings for you to bid on!

Meet our comedians!

Annie G

After accidentally making it into the RAW Comedy Quest final in 2023, Annie started her standup comedy journey at full speed. Annie is a unique new voice in the New Zealand Comedy scene. She has a fresh perspective and a wit for precise punchlines – if you can understand the accent.

Bridget Davies

You might have seen her winning audiences over around the country or on 7Days. With a disarmingly warm presence and dry, intelligent style, come and see why Bridget is one of NZ’s best up-and-coming comedians. She combines her quirky view on things with a refreshingly genuine approach and whether it’s with or at her, Bridget is guaranteed to have you laughing.

Aimée Thorne

Aimée Thorne is a stand-up comedian with a dark, acerbic wit. Picture Morticia Addams with a microphone. She brings her grim observations to the stage, drawing on her experiences surviving the trauma of misfortune.

Her comedy blends stand-up, storytelling, and song to explore what it means to find — and use — your voice in a world that would rather keep you silent.

She recently debuted her first solo show, Cursed, at the New Zealand Fringe Festival. Cursed is a cabaret show about the transformative power of finding humour in the darkest corners.

In 2023, she performed alongside Joel Vinson, David Stuart, and Scott Bennett in the New Zealand International Comedy Festival show Weird, Dark and Scandalous. She has also appeared on My Favourite Dead Person, a children’s television sketch show created by The Downlow Concept and hosted by Josh Thomson.

Michelle Wiley

Michelle Wiley is an up-and-coming comedian from Tāmaki Makaurau, voted the Best Newcomer (Upper NI) 2023 at the New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards and a RAW Grand Finalist in 2023.
