Feminists are Funny 2026

Here's the impact of our most iconic night of the year...

Feminists Are Funny 2026: 'Witch, Please' raised $18,000 for Auckland Women's Centre

What a night. We’re still glowing after another unforgettable Feminists Are Funny (our 10th year in action!).

This year’s theme, Witch, Please, brought together an incredible community of feminists, comedians, artists, local businesses and supporters who proved once again that laughter really can influence feminist change.

Together, we raised an incredible $18,000 to support Auckland Women’s Centre.

Every ticket purchased, silent auction bid and donation made helped make this possible. These funds will help us continue providing free and low-cost services that empower women, girls and gender-diverse people across Tāmaki Makaurau, strengthening safety, wellbeing, connection and community.

To everyone one who helped us reach this goal in support of violence prevention, confidence and community safety. Your generosity created a ripple effect of impact that will last all year long!

Ngā mihi nui to our incredible community partners & sponsors

We’re so incredibly grateful to every local business, artist and maker who donated to our silent auction. Your generosity helped create an event that truly reflected the strength and creativity of our community –  helping us to amplify our impact!

A special thank you to Poppy & Sage, who transformed the room into a magical coven with their beautiful candle displays and offered their handcrafted candles by koha to help raise more funds to sustain our self-defence programme.

Thank you to Ripe Deli & The Produce Company for nourishing us with beautiful kai throughout the evening, to Pixel Photobooth for capturing so many joyful moments for the AWC Herstory book, Brooklyn Flowers who donated beautiful bouquets & to The Classic for hosting and saving a spot for us every year!

The photos from Pixel Photobooth are now available until 17 July to download, so you can relive all the magic and share with your coven. 🧹

Our Host

Michèle A'Court

The wonderful, fabulous Michèle A’Court (ONZM) is a stand-up comedian, writer, actor and MC/kaimahi whakataki—and the heart and soul of Feminists Are Funny.

For the past 10 years, Michèle has generously donated her time, talent and infectious enthusiasm to bring this fundraiser to life. From curating exceptional line-ups of some of Aotearoa’s funniest comedians to championing Auckland Women’s Centre’s kaupapa on and off the stage, her contribution has been immeasurable.

We remain incredibly stoked, chuffed and grateful to call Michèle a friend of Auckland Women’s Centre. Thank you for a decade of up lifting women and non-binary people in the comedy space and beyond!

Thank you to our fabulous, fierce and feminist comedians!

We literally couldn’t do this without them! Every comedian who performs at Feminists are Funny donates their time, talent and incredible craft to us, making it possible for every dollar raised on the night to go even further. Thank you for reminding us that laughter can build community, challenge injustice and inspire change all at once. We are so grateful that you chose to share your magic with us this year.
