Gem Bracelet Making

Gem Bracelet Making

A healing and spiritual class making specialised gem bracelets with Yoko Onishi

Join the nurturing Yoko for a hands-on workshop where creativity, mindfulness, and personal expression come together. In this relaxed, intimate, and supportive session, participants will create a crystal gem bracelet. No prior experience is needed—this workshop is suitable for all skill levels and offers a welcoming space to slow down, connect, and create something meaningful by hand.

Participants will be invited to choose a crystal to work with, guided by its story and traditional qualities such as calm, grounding, protection, strength, or self-love. Crystals have been valued across cultures as tools for reflection and intention-setting, and Yoko will gently share the background of each stone to support participants in choosing one that resonates with them. You are also very welcome to bring your own gemstone if you already have a special piece you would like to turn into a pendant.

Yoko Onishi

I was born and raised in Japan, where I developed a deep appreciation for traditional culture and handmade crafts inspired by nature. Growing up surrounded by this rich heritage, I’ve always been passionate about arts and crafts.

Ten years ago, I discovered the art of macramé, one of the oldest crafts in the world. Inspired by this technique, I founded a workshop in Auckland focused on teaching children how to create beautiful macramé pieces. Over time, the workshop has expanded to include adults as well. My approach blends macramé techniques with the natural beauty of crystals, which I believe are gifts from Mother Nature herself.

My creative journey is fueled by a desire to capture the harmony and beauty that exists between human creation and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from nature’s forms and the timeless symbols crafted by humanity over centuries, I strive to create pieces that resonate with this symbiotic relationship.
