Our glitziest, glammest day of the year is back! Join us for a night of comedy to raise funds for Auckland Women's Centre

Our fabulous Michèle A’Court (ONZM) will host a dream team of comedians to keep you laughing the whole evening long. Get planning your table of friends and come along on Sunday 9 June to support our biggest fundraiser of the year at the Classic Comedy Club. Stay tuned for the full line up of comedians…

For our 2024 event, our theme is glitz, glam and sparkles. Come in your most sparkliest get-up, there will be prizes!

We have a wonderful list of items for sale in our silent auction donated by organisations across Tāmaki Makaurau, and we’ll also have a photo booth again thanks to Pixel Photo Booth so get there early to get your group shots. Ticket price includes nibbles thanks to Ripe.

Michèle A'Court

Michèle A’Court is a stand-up comedian, writer, actor and event MC / kaiwhakataki. Michèle was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) in the 2023 New Year’s Honours for services to comedy and entertainment.

Meet your comics

JUSTINE SMITH

Justine is one of New Zealand’s leading female comedians, making regular appearances on TV and is a winner of the Billy T Award.

Justine closes out the show for us every year at Feminists are Funny.

KURA TURUWHENUA

Kura is a 22-year-old comic who has already made waves in the comedy scene, winning the NZ Raw Comedy Quest, and has been awarded Best Comedy Newcomer.

Kura writes for 7-Days and creates hilarious Tik-Toks and reels.

LIV MCKENZIE

Liv McKenzie is a 2024 Billy T Award Nominee who makes regular TV appearances on 7Days and Have You Been Paying Attention?

Liv is described as “an unexpected delight” and “one to watch”, Liv McKenzie is a compelling young comedian.

DONNA BROOKBANKS

Donna is a Billy T Award Nominee and makes regular TV appearances.

Donna was a founding member of the iconic SNORT group and has written three successful solo comedy shows.

 

BRIDGET DAVIES

Bridget’s sharp wit and quirky, relatable humour make her a rising star. Her talent has earned her a National Raw Quest finalist spot and a Best Newcomer nomination.

LANA WALTERS

Lana is a stand-up comedian, TV write and improviser who makes regular appearances on 7 Days and The Project.

Her current show, ‘Don’t Lick That’ is a comical look at the terrible twos.

OCEAN DENHAM

Ocean Denham is fresh to the Auckland comedy scene, relocating from Christchurch.

Her show ‘A Hot Girl and her Suzuki Swift’ made waves at Wellington Fringe Festival this year.

RENEE CHURCH

Renee Church, known for her clever and relatable humour, is making waves in the Auckland comedy scene.

Renee brings a witty and uplifting perspective on life as a young woman today.

SERA DEVCICH

Featured on 7 Days, The Project, and the NZ International Comedy Gala, award-winning actress Sera Devcich has taken her theatre skills to stand-up comedy.

Since then she has rapidly climbed up the comedy rank, performing across the country with NZ’s top comics.
