Throughout May, two friends of Auckland Women’s Centre, JC and Henri, will be setting a goal of fundraising $2000 for women’s mental health. Their events include a 24-hour run, facilitating weekly 5km walks for the community, AND a women’s DJ night ($15 tickets here)! Can you get behind them and make a donation?

Run Like A Girl: JC & Henri fundraise for women's mental health!

Throughout May, two friends of Auckland Women’s Centre, JC and Henri, will be setting a goal of fundraising $2000 for women’s mental health. Their events include a 24-hour run, facilitating weekly 5km walks for the community, AND a women’s DJ night! Can you get behind them and make a donation?
Here’s a message from the two ernest, kiwi lads looking to use their privilege for good!
“Between the two of us, we’ve run over a thousand kilometres and raised more than $4,000 for men’s mental health through the Movember Foundation over the past couple of years. It’s a cause that means a lot to us and one we’ll always stand behind.
But during those long runs, the conversation often turned to something we couldn’t ignore: women’s mental health. We started to realise how often it’s overlooked—especially by men. Women’s voices are too often silenced, dismissed, or ignored, despite speaking from a place of deep lived experience, resilience, and wisdom. That perspective matters, especially when it comes to the challenges that uniquely and unfairly affect women.”
This month, we have got some exciting things planned—things that we hope capture both the freedom and joy women deserve, and the serious weight of the issues at hand.
Take a look. It’s a bloody good cause.”
