Plunket

Whānau Āwhina Plunket has a long history of supporting whānau with children under 5 in Aotearoa.

Today, Plunket nurses conduct Well Child Tamariki Ora checks for over 85% of infants in New Zealand. These free health and development assessments begin soon after birth and continue until tamariki [children] have had a B4 school check. During these visits, support and information is provided to help whānau feel confident in their parenting role, so children get the best start in life. Advice and information is also available through PlunketLine which is a free 24-hour 7 days a week phone service.
