New frontline volunteers needed for our Women’s Support Service.

Would you like an opportunity to give back? We are looking for volunteers to help staff our front desk Tuesday – Friday 9am-4pm.

Ideally, volunteers with an interest in this role will be warm, friendly and have the ability to engage with people in a respectful way. You will also have the ability to be cool calm and collected in dealing with service users in distress. This is the role that contributes the most to the centre and is also the most emotionally rewarding.

If you are interested in the frontline position please submit your current CV including 2 verbal referees and a cover letter telling us a bit about yourself and your motivations to volunteer with us. Submit to Ellie on womensservices@womenz.org.nz

Volunteers wanted for the Single Mums SKIP Positive Parenting Project.

There are several areas where you could be involved according to what you are interested in.  This could be anything from updating the database and promotions to supporting community-led actions.   We are also looking for child carers who can help look after the children when we have meetings and events.

You do not have to be a single mum to volunteer in this role.

The ideal contributor will be willilng to give things a go, practice their strengths, and value and support single mum families.  For the child care role you will need to show a commitment to positive parenting principles.

This is a casual unpaid role for someone looking to gain invaluable experience with one of New Zealand’s leading Women’s Charities.  The times and days will be negotiated together.  It’s based in our warm, bright and welcoming office centrally located in Grey Lynn and we can also head out into the wider Auckland community.

We are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Please email Rochelle at skip@womenz.org.nz for more details or call 09-376-3227 ext 2.
